Hi,

I've a V6 Exclusive Estate on a private plate (not year specific) I'd be interested in swoping for a 2.5 diesel Estate or saloon. Possible cash adjustment either way. Reason for this is I no longer do the long distance driving I used to. The V6 is a wonderful engine and is perfect for the Estate car. Fast, smooth, bags of torque but should be used for what it's designed for; long distance touring, not short trips around town.

Good points. 1 years full tax and MOT.
Low milage engine (approximately 100k since new).*
New front and rear spheres,
New rear tyres,
Full black leather; no scratches or tears.
Aircon/Climate control.
Cruise control.
Electrically heated seats front and back.
Electric seats, windows, mirrors (including automatic dip in reverse)
all work properly.
Bad points. Has long shallow dent in front and rear passenger doors caused by
someone parking badly alongside. Not too noticeable unless you look
for it. Could be made to look a lot better.
Aircon/Climate control not working.
Heater blows lukewarm air.
Cruise control was intermittant; now does not work (sensors?).
Front seat heaters and one rear seat heater not working.

IMPORTANT. I bought this car some 3 years ago. Before this the power supply to one of the cooling fans had been altered and a manual switch fitted. Why? I don't know. I was told that the original owner took the car to Spain regularily; maybe the manual switch was a safety precaution.

General condition. Pretty good. Some trim parts such as the tailgate cover and fuse box cover were removed to trace a wiring fault to the rear lights. The fault's been cured but the covers not replaced (safely stored). There's a small water leak somewhere (NOT INTO THE ENGINE). Autobox is flawless; had the oil changed and operates very smoothly. New trackrod ends fitted for MOT. Rear silencer is loose but it still cruises quietly at 70; slight noise when accelerating hard.
*The original engine blew a head gasket and suffered overheating damage. A low milage replacement was fitted some 2 years ago. One year and 8000 miles later, due to ill health the car was off the road for a year; just back on with new tax and MOT this month.

It could be an incredible car with not a lot of work needed. One of only 28 V6 Series 2 Exclusive Estates registered in the U.K. it has all the extra's (apart from a CD changer) available when new. It's reliable; I'd be happy to deliver the car by road to anywhere in the U.K. (new owner pays the fuel cost!) and drive home in whatever I swop it for. If I can I'll add some photos this evening once my daughter gets home from school and shows me how...............
