Hi all
A Fire Extinguisher in your car is compulsory in France. If you do not stop and offer assistance with your extinguisher you commit an offence.Once in the early hours of the morning I was hard pressed to make my ferry when I came across a lorry fully ablaze on the hard shoulder in Northern France...I decided that my extinguisher would have made no difference at all and carried on(bit hot when I drove past as it was only 2 lanes!!).The driver was safe by the side of the road!
So your extinguisher was possibly standard equipment on French cars.
On the subject of driving in France-I don't have light deflectors on my headlights when over there,I never get flashed(not even by lorry drivers who would do)if my lights were dazzling them and yet the MOT station put the light alignment machine on them...why aren't I dazzling them...or are they not bright enough to do so?
