Introducing myself, names Mark, proud owner of a 1990 XM V6 & a 1988 16V BX.
Not alot of these cars were imported to the bottom of the world and whilst the marque is making a resergence with the C3, C4 & C5, parts and expertise are very limited. Needless to say like the rest of you maniacs that love and endure these magnificent cars, I love them. I have owned over the years most of the desirable cars, however I find myself drawn to their style and peculiarities. I am wanting to scource parts particularly, I find it's the silly things, switches, my speedo doesn't work which causes me grief with authorities. The elecrtical system isn't able to cope with the power requirements etc. But I love it.

Welcome Mark - I have only just joined the forum myself but it has been a real good read looking at the various sections. All the best from the Northern Hemispere! Chris.

Welcome Mark.

It takes a real enthusiast to maintain a complicated French car, when there are so many good Jap imports to play with in your neck of the woods.

Good luck and stand proud as an individualist!

Hi Mark,

Welcome to club-xm. I hope you find it interesting and useful in the quest to keep your very individual XM on the road.

For future reference, why not put your car details in your signature? That way, when you ask a question in future we will know which model you are asking about. To do this just click on "My Controls" at the top right hand corner of this screen, click on "Edit My Signature" at the bottom left of the next screen and fill in your details in the white box in the middle of the last screen. Job done.

cheers

cool.gif G'Day Mark Bro,

You haven't said if you are from the mainland or the top part of the country!

There are very few of us here mad enough to own XMs.

I am in Whakatane and if I can help, I will. Great to see you on the forum,

Regards Ernie.
