I keep seeing mentions of buying XMs and peripheral bits off Ebay and other sources and it strikes me one thing that is missing is a straightforward XMs for sale section on this forum. I appreciate there are the sections for cars in breakers yards and those being self dismantled, but that's not quite the same thing.
XMs for sale on Ebay seem to fluctuate in number between a couple and ten generally at any one time, so there is still a steady trickle of them out there.
I know of another single make club who keep a watching brief on Ebay and regularly update their club page with relevant current listings. Either way, the members get their attention drawn to things they might not want to miss.
Seeing there are 400 forum members, that is a fair chunk of people to focus on a niche car.

A good idea.

I'm on other forums too & we notify auctions as a way of preventing us bidding up the item / car against each other. There's also scope for group or joint buys too - if two members want different bits from the same item. There can also be economies too - if a member is close and can pick an item up, then just charge actual postage to send the item on.

There's also the other side of the coin of course - the less people that know - the less chance of being outbid.......???
