Yes, she was a series1, 24v silver with black leather aka Starship Enterprise, I could write a book on her. Great car but many problems along the way. I did around 70,000 mile in her in 3 years. Changed rear arm bearings , front suspension bushes, engine mounting, exhaust system from 'cats' back. all sphears both cylinder head gaskets, at different times. They had both totally corroded eventually causing leakage. When I first had her the clutch started doing strange things. snaching, slipping and making god awful noises. I was all fired up and prepared to change the clutch, Jacked and on axle stands, wheels off, when I discovered that the bell housing bolts were all loose, with a half inch gap at the bottom! Tightened the up and all was fine!
One day, with about 220000 mile on the clock, I backed into a lampost, creasing the o/s rear wing quite badly but no real damage. Not long after, she starte to run roughly and then on three cylinders. I managed to nurse her onto a side street and did all of the usuall investigations but could not get her to run. I really had to have a running car for work, so bought a Honda Accord as a stop gap. Someone fairly local to Bedford came and trailered her away free gratis. I had had my moneys worth out of her. I did phone the guy who took her and he told me he hadn't yet managed to get her going. I think that she was scrapped. Her reg was H271GDP.

Fifi(2.0i cx Turbo , Green) is suffering from a dying gearbox bearing of some sort , leakage from the pas and what has been diagnosed as a cracked manifold. She's in Brighton and her MOT has expired. sad.gif

Hi Tristram, are you dismantling her or disposing in one piece? I'd be interested in buying the complete interior if it's clean and green......

Sorry about the terminal problems...
