Noz - just finished removing a rear sensor on my estate using your *truly excellent* file on this topic. Mind you, it would not come out in one piece - had to destroy it and take out the bits.
Im now ready to fit a new one but one thing in your file puzzles me - how do you measure the sensor/tooth clearance? You mention 0.8-1.6mm. obtained by pulling the sensor back from the "hard against the tooth" position but where is that measured? Surely it cant be at the tooth which is now inside the swinging arm? Or am I just being dim (not for the first time)? Any help much appreciated. Slainte! Wendham |
