High,

I just missed buying a copy of the Peter Russek `Pocket Mechanic' book on the XM, covering 4 cylinder and V6 engines. My thoughts were that this combined with the in depth coverage given in Norrie's excellent CD could be a very useful combination; I didn't realise that anyone had written a book covering the V6........

Before I lose too much sleep over missing the thing, or waste time trying to find a copy online, does anyone know whether it was any good?

Regards,

Jim.

Jim,

Although I've never seen the book in question the Russek series gets pretty good crit on other forums. However, the quotes are usually of the form 'better than Haynes....' You would have to take a view on whether better than Haynes constituted good.

Cheers

Hi all

I have the pocket manual for XM. VERY good EXCEPT, it had DRAWN diagram rather then good photos. SHAME!

The diagrams are not always as clear as photos in general.

Unfortunately it only covers the earlier 90 degree V6 engines. Also the anti-sink system is not mentioned in either words or diagrams.
