You are most welcome. Thats the whole point of club-xm. Glad to hear you got your leak(s) fixed successfully. Strange one about the heat shield. Both my 2.5 heat shields are like brand new, no sign of corrosion. Can't really offer an explanation for it. I would be tempted to suggest that you need the heat shield. The heat from the exhaust especially on a hot summers day will permeate into the cab up through the carpet. IT will also overheat and stress the electrical components housed in the centre tunnel (including the trigger device for the pyrotechnic seat belts ). I would imagine that the same part fits all and there are plenty XM's being scrapped at the moment (mores the pity). Put an ad in the wanted section, I'm sure someone will have one spare.
