Re:tester.
According to Chris Burmajster, and the details in the operating leaflet enclosed, it is suitable for both Series 1 and 2. Brian

Draper tester. You are looking at the diagnostic socket for the tester used by the dealer, but the Draper has merely an earth crocodile clip and a single pin which is inserted into the RH side of the loose green diagnostic socket which is usually hanging loose in the ECU box. Following the printed instructions, you will find that - for instance - it will flash twice, then it is switched off and on again and will then flash three times, for instance. That will tell you to identify the fault from the supplied decode list. and it will tell you in that circumstance (2 - 3 ) that you have (among other things) no fuel pressure, etc, etc, etc. There are about 40 diagnostic number codes listed. Apparently it also clears some of the faults, when having read them, which it did for me -it restored the flashing immobiliser code back to a steady light (on a S2), allowing starting after the revealed fault had been sorted. Sorry to disappoint you, but when you only pay about £16 for the thing, you don't get the sophistication that the dealer has for £2500! Techmanagain
