I normally fill my 2.0i Turbo petrol XM car with 95 RON premium petrol at Tesco supermarkets because they are conveniently on my way to work and I can pay at the pump. I do use other brands as well. Apart from an annual drive to Ireland I mainly drive around town - about 20 miles on each journey.

Engine problems have made me wonder if a bad batch of fuel could be part of my current problem.

When I fill up next time I will buy Shell V Power petrol because I want to eliminate bad fuel from my list of possible problems.

Have you ever noticed a difference between different brands or grades of petrol?
