My heater fan is stuck on high and I cannot turn it off. By reading some of the older post on here it looks like it's down to the Resistor. Please can anyone tell me where I could get one without going to a main dealer as they want well over a £100 for a Citroen one. Thanks

Its usually the transistors in the regulator, they are not expensive but you need to be handy with a soldering iron to fit them. The type number is on the bottom of my signature.

There are a large number of adverts on ebay for the blower transistor module.
Most of these are cheap Chinese copies. Buying one of these is a bit of a lottery as many do not work. Citroen modules used transistors with non standard markings. The paperwork gave the wrong junction type for the transistors. This resulted in a very large batch of copies fitted with the wrong type of transistor. Avoid any where the transistor numbers are MJ11016. John This post has been edited by xmexclusive on January 26, 2014 11:37 am -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Thanks alot guys for your help and info.
Is the regulator fitted to the blower if so do l have to unplug all the wires first then remove the blower unit to get to it. Also should l disconnect the battery before l start anything. Hi Mike
Yes you need to remove the blower which isn't difficult, remove the panel under the glovebox, unplug two leads then remove the screws and the blower assembly will drop out. The motor will need to be removed from the assembly, I seem to remember its held in by rubber blocks which you need to compress, once the motor is out you will be able to see the panel which has two power transistors riveted to it, you can drill the rivets out and replace them with nuts and bolts.
