hi, all

I have some oil leak in the oil sump of engine for the last few months.

I searched for gasket in parts list for late 24v, but couldn't find it.

could someone enlighten me on how to seal the oil pan ?

I appreciate any advice in advance.

Hi Shin,
You're right, there is no gasket listed for the oil sump. My ES9J4 developed a leak like yours some time ago and the mechanic at the Citroen dealer in Hiroshima fixed it neatly with a silicone sealant. He removed the sump, cleaned it and applied the sealant. This was done on my car about 2 years ago. Hasn't leaked since.

Just be thankful it's not the camboxes leaking. They do after a very high mileage and like the sump there's no gaskets, just beads of sealant...

It's a fun job...

Hi, Jim

thanks

after the sump leak is fixed, the another leak will come,

never a dull moment around old xms.

still something makes me sticky, I am feeling kind of anxious about its addictive property lately.
