Due to company car the following has become available. I would prefer that an enthusiast makes use of it either to repair or for spares than scrap it.
Black Series 1.5 2.0 Turbo Auto Prestige saloon (petrol ) Approx 120000 miles (speedo cable broken at 111000) MOT expires 29/1/09 Taxed till end August 2009 (either give me £90 or drive it home and I will reclaim tax before end of January, either way still legal to drive) For the MOT it will need RHS track rod end and exhaust back box. Other stuff that needs fairly immediate attention: Speedo doesn’t work (I use a GPS as a speedo but to drive home either a GPS or a friend to follow will be needed) Battery on it’s last legs. Non immediate stuff: Bump to front wing and front bumper: not fatal but needs replacing to make it nice Rear bumper wants re attaching properly or replacing Aircon needs new condenser and a re gas, Controls work OK but no chilled air. Cruise doesn’t work. Sunroof doesn’t work. Good Bits Hydraflushed and new LHM Summer 2008. Suspension works as it should (Hydractive 2) 4 new Michelins in the last year, fronts 12 months ago, rears about 3 months. 24V alloys, dirty but in good nick. Central locking and alarm work. Black leather interior, with electrically adjustable front seats and rare adjustable drivers lumbar support. COAT HOOKS. Electric armrest. Series 1 dash and body in black (cool), series 2 wiring and suspension which works. Cambelt done about 30000 miles ago. We will be sorry to see her go but can’t justify keeping her to stand on the drive and use just at weekends. Make me an offer, I would prefer not to see this car crushed so if you are a nice person could be VERY cheap. PM me if interested. John -------------------- Currently XMless

Dean,
It's a Mk 1.5 so all the body and interior are Mk1 but the suspension is Hydractive 2 and the steering wheel has 2 spokes but no airbag. Sort of transition model made in 1993. John -------------------- Currently XMless

I would of had this if i wasnt picking one up next weekend, she sound like a bargain too. Where's citroenxm, he would surely be itching to get his hands on a black turbo, a mating pair perhaps?? D -------------------- 92 xm 20i prestige auto (modified)R.P 5678

Hi John,
I would certainly be interested in the car if it is still available and can be driven to North Norfolk. If you were happy with £100 I could probably arrange to collect in the next fortnight. I have three SEI turbos of the same period and might certainly need a few more spares, or otherwise another restoration project!! Please could you let me know exactly where you are and what you think, if possible by telephoning 01263 734623 at your convenience. Hi Paul,
It was good to hear from you again and in answer to your question I have two stored in the garage, one parked on the drive, one on the road nearby, and two at my Mother-in-Law's!! I attach a picture of the latest acquisition, which principally needs a speedo cable and exhaust back box, plus the other usual cosmetic stuff. Blimey Matthew,
I haven't seen the old girl that clean in months, the alloys look to have come up nicely. I can see that she has gone to a good home, I hope you get many thousands of miles of enjoyment from her. Best wishes John PS I may not be citroenless for long, it looks like I am about to aquire a Saxo so that I can teach the kids to drive at a car club. -------------------- Currently XMless

RE: Saxo thats not a citroen! Its a Peugeot with the wrong badges on it!!
A citroen rides on Green Fluid and is different! (Or yellow in the case of the C5!) Paul This post has been edited by citroenxm on February 10, 2009 11:15 am -------------------- 1993 K Reg 3.0 V6 12 Valve Auto (Green) LPG S1.5 SORNd

Paul,
If you can find me a rust free Hydraulic Citroen with standard handbrake and a new clutch and timing belt for 600 quid within 3 miles of my house and I'll buy it! I don't want a Saxo it's just cheap and convenient. I'm already getting withdrawl symptoms, my current drive is a Peugeot 407 estate (YUK) while I wait for Ford to find an S MAX in a field somewhere! I can't believe that it takes 22 weeks for them to make a new car to order with the economic climate as it is. I would have thought that they would pull out the stops to fill a confirmed order rather than making cars to park in a field. Regards John -------------------- Currently XMless
