Club-XM host and features, we're moving !!

Hi all,

I plan to move Club-XM to a new host shortly. When I first took over the site from Chris Light I stayed with the same (U.S.) host so that it kept the number of changes to a minimum (I didn't want to tempt providence by changing too many things at once). However, it is becoming too expensive and so I have been looking around for a cheaper and UK-based host. I've just moved hosts for my business site for much the same reasons and I'm now with the UK-based host, Kualo. When transferring my business site to them they were extremely helpful and overcame the few hiccoughs with no fuss and with immediate attention. I therefore plan to move Club-XM to the same company.

In addition to the cost saving, the new host offers a whole bunch of features not offerred by the current host. One of those features is unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth. Threfore I plan to incorporate a file storage system so that the self-help files and both the S1 and S2 XM manuals will be available on-line.

There are other free features which I have yet to investigate which may also prove useful. If anyone knows of any other features they've seen elsewhere on other fora that may be employed on Club-XM please let me know by either responding here or by PM.

The move of my business site went without a hitch with no downtime. However, my business site has a .co.uk domain. The .com variant of my business site did conversely, cause some hassle. Therefore, with Club-XM being on a .com domain there may be a small disruption to the site during the transfer. I'll let you know closer to the time.

In the meantime, all suggestions welcome.

Hi all,

Sorry for the downtime over the last 12 hours or so but the forum has now migrated to the new host. I don't forsee any more interruptions but if anyone finds any part of the site which does not work properly please let me know.
