can any one help with clues on how to reset the wiper linkages?
the bolt that holds the crank onto the wiper motor came loose this evening (not good having no wipers this summer) ive managed to tighten it up just to keep them running but now the wipers park at the vertical position too soggie to night to worry about getting it right just need them working for tomorrow so now i need clues on how to get everything back to normal when the wet stuff stops falling anybody got any clues cheers CRX -------------------- '96 XM 2.5 TD VSX Estate (Its in "A State" but i love it)

If the motor is in the park position with the wipers wrong:
Unbolt the linkage and with the drive arm free reset the wipers to the correct park position. The drive arm has a square hole so I suspect that at present you are 90 degrees out. Hopefully the wiper arms have remained correctly positioned. Do not alter these even if needed until you have the drive correct. When I had the same problem (motorshaft drive nut fell off and wiper drive was lost) the crank was held on to a serrated taper shaft. The main problem was that with everything in place access to adjust the nut and crank is virtually impossible as it sits deep in the scuttle underneath the motor/gearbox. I had to unbolt the whole unit in order to rotate it 180 degrees in the scuttle to get at the nut and crank. Correctly positioning the crank (with the motor in the park position) was, I'm afraid, a question of trial and error for me. It is easy to get it completely wrong (guess how I know!) and I would recommend removing the wiper arms temporarily until you are confident that the wiper shafts are driving as expected.

Just checked a couple of spare motors.
