I'm after a windscreen wiper motor as mine is getting past it and only works intermittently. They aren't listed at the motor factors any more, so can somebody help me please?
It's for a series 2 TD auto (I don't know they are all the same or not). Thanks Graham |

Hi Graham
Might be worth trying PM's to Robert Smart and Citroenxm. Both have stocks of recovered XM bits that they sell on. Failing that have a look through the sales and wanted on both websites. Quite a few Yards scrapping XM's have been listed in recent times. There was a new old stock Pug 605 wiper motor on ebay recently. About £12 inc p&p. Nearly bought it myself but could not be sure it was a direct replacement. John -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

These simple permanent magnet motors can be overhauled - often water ingress due to the exposed location in the XM scuttle area causes poor contact between the three brushes and the commutator. Drying out the motor and cleaning up the contacts worked for me. A rusty outer casing looks bad but can be cleaned up and repainted.
