London, 2019: Four years after the minister for culture, sports, the arts and inner city and regional devolopment (at DSCAICRD) introduced his Motor Car Heritage Bill some surprising unintended consequences have been noticed. The bill made it mandatory for car manufacturers to supply spares for any car they had produced. Citroen UK located and purchased for £120,000 the last four remaining GS and last seven GSA´s registered in the country. The cars were de-registered and crushed. This obviates the obligation under the 2004 bill for Citroen to supply spare parts for the vehicles. A lawyer for Citroen said that "it cost Citroen UK £3.9 million pounds to retool the underbody panels for the car when an owner requested to purchase these for his vehicle which had rusted." Another owner "demanded a new engine for the 1973 1.2 liter model." This cost Citroen £12.6 milllion to fabricate. Citroen plans to invest more money to encourage owners of its BX (145 remaining), XM (92 remaining) and Mk1 C5 (4 remaining) to swap their cars for a C1 or similar. -------------------- Of all the things I have lost I think I miss my mind the most

Are you sure that will be the case in 7 years time? I quiet like the way they think the C5 mk1 will be near extict by then!
