Hi Razvan
The correct name is sphere bracket but we call them strut heads in the UK. These strut heads are manufactured as handed pairs. As far as we can see from the photos:- The strut head on your car the side behind the battery is the correct type for that side. The sphere sits almost touching the engine bay rear bulkhead. On the other side of your car looks as if a wrong hand strut head has been fitted. Instead of almost toching the rear bulkhead this sphere is pointing towards the centre of the engine. We will try to find a photo of a car engine bay with correct strut heads so you can see the difference. I would not fit odd strut heads to my XM's. For your car we cannot tell how the suspension and steering setup was changed when this "wrong" strut head was fitted. If the correct part is fitted any changes made will need to be corrected as well. John -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.
