The Club-XM forum has come under increasing attack over the last 6 months primarily by dictionary hackers. These are people who use dictionary words to try to guess your password. They have been moderately successful in gaining access to an administrator account. Luckily I caught them before they did any damage, temporarily suspended the account and changed all the admin passwords.
As each hacker tries to get in their IP address is added to the ban list but at some point in time they are going to find passwords which are based on words in the english language that you would find in a dictionary. I have tightened all the seurity parameters that the site permits. The number of times you can enter a wrong password has been reduced to two. After that your IP is banned and I get an email. If you are a genuine member and simply forgot your password you will need to email me at webmaster with an at sign clubxm dot com and I will reinstate it. All new members need to be validated via an email to me. Please, please review your password for club-xm. I know its difficult but try to change it to something which doesn't make sense, contains a mixture of lower and upper case and at least one number and one punctuation mark. I know thats a tall order. I'm the worlds worst at passwords myself. The problem is, if they find out your password for club-xm and you use that same email address and password combination elsewhere then you may find that site or account compromised. Please treat this seriously. These people do not give up easily. They look upon it as a challenge. noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
