Hi all,

Here's another opportunity. The left stalks on all three of my 2.5TD's are a bit intermittent with my daily runabout being the worst. I've opened up the switch to find that the wiper contact has worn so badly it slops about in its guide. At the opposite end from the detent spring the contact wanders around sometimes hitting a contact when you don't want it to (i.e. when you don't want to indicate) and not hitting it when you do want it to (i.e. when you just want to indicate for a second and don't want to push the stalk all the way down or up so that the steering wheel needs to reset it).

Never fear, they still make the entire stalk in China.

Citroen Part Number 6253 55
Price per item $10.53
MOQ 100 (this can be negotiated down)
Shipping (unknown at this point)

With the shipping unknown we need to make a guess here. Say £50. Each switch in GPB would be £6.58 plus a share of the shipping. At 100 pieces the shipping would be £0.50 each. Total price per item is therefore £7.08 & UK P&P.

Clearly there needs to be some negotiation to get the MOQ down. I have no idea how successful that would be. Give me some idea of the demand and it will provide me with a tangible number against which to negotiate.

Cheers

It is a common fault which occurs on all cars with this design of switch and one that many of us put up with, but how many are prepared for the awkward job of replacing it. especially if we are just going to sell/scrap it in a year or so?
The demand will increase as the cars get older, but I can't visualise any demand sufficient to justify buying in any large stock which won't sell for some time yet.
That is a commecial decision only, but I have bought one or two new ones during my ownership of XMs.
