Folks,
My local independent reports a "steering pipe" (details not clear, but steel, with non-matching (6mm/4mm?) ends being out of stock at Citroen. Pleiades know of the situation, but cannot currently supply. Most industrial hydraulic specialists don't seem interested. Can anyone offer any pointers to supply? If it was repairable, they would have repaired it - they are past masters of high-quality repair! r -------------------- '97 2.5 Estate

Hi rg,
Would it be possible to upload a photo of the offending part? At what point in the pipe does the transition from 4-6mm happen? Is it tapered along its length or is it bushed at one end? Could you use a straight 4mm pipe with a 4mm connector at one end and a 6mm connector with bush at the other? I'm thinking about how they fit 10mm copper pipe to a 15mm radiator fitting. They still use a 15mm tubing nut but insert a bush to make up the difference between the 10mm and the 15mm. Alternatively can you make up a 4mm pipe with 4mm ends and then use a 4-6mm adapter at one end? I've never seen this illusive pipe so the above is only meant to be food for thought.
