I've left my XM standing for a few weeks, I recharged the battery and found that the central locking is haunted. It self locks and unlocks with the interior light going on and off. Can I pull a fuse or relay to stop this, if so which one. I dont like the idea of it opening while parked in the street.
I think this is payback time for the purchase of the C5. Clutch cable due to be fitted this week, keen to get it rolling again. Clearly XMs dont like sitting idle. |

Sorry I can't help solve the problem, but I had a similar experience recently - when I opened the drivers door to get out, the central locking would go crazy, locking and unlocking repeatedly, until I locked the doors with the plipper - I don't know what caused it, it went on like this for about a week, then stopped doing it.
It's been ok since. I've also had problems in the past with the alarm going off for no apparent reason. That was after the battery had gone flat and then been recharged. It settled down and stopped doing it after a couple of days. So your problem could be just temporary (fingers crossed Good luck. -------------------- 94M 2.0 Turbo Exclusive auto hatch, Green, RP 6552

By the way. Does anyone have a diagram of central locking module in MK2?

We had this problem, sorted it by unscrewing the door wiring connector plug and cleaning the contacts of the plug and sockets with electrical contact cleaner, WD40 would probably do just as well. Did all 4 doors, job sorted.
