To be honest I have 1 in traffic, 3 for parts, and the others in different shapes, some of them are good objects, other of them not, but saving them from the scrapyard anyway !! 16 really is a fair old number. I would probably have more cars if space allowed, the neighbours are commenting now We've got 5 cars, though I'm being selfish, four of them are mine.

Welcome to club-xm. That is certainly an impressive line-up you have. I have a paltry collection in comparisn but my other half doesn't quite see it that way for some reason. I hope you find the site useful. Feel free to browse around the self-help files section. There's lots in there to help you do your own maintenance. Please ask any questions you might have. Mine are going down I'm afraid, two went for scrap this year I still have one 2.1 estate though.

Oh, yes, 16, perfect age to start driving an XM, big event in Sweden. Supervised of course. Is he going to maintain the vehicle himself? That would be fun. I started riding mopeds at 16, Puch, Solex, Mobylette, etc. - and I bought them myself with money earned from various part time jobs. But times have changed.

I`ll guess I have to help him some, but not to much,,, when he started with mopeds I helped him, now he is doing the most himself, with some advices from me, sometimes without asking for advices, not with perfect result everytime, but I guess you have to learn some things the hardway,,,,
