Hi

Does anyone know which pins are the power pins to the Mk2 matrix displays? I need to check one to see what state it is in, but I'd prefer not to dismantle the car to do that! Failing that a cct diagram would enable me to chase through the pcb layout and figure it out. But I'd guess the cct diagram is far less likely to be available.
Thanks

Hi JwC, log onto www.ebaman.com,register for free, and download full service manual(including electrical schematics) for S2 and S1.It will be easier to print off the schematic relative to your RP than long winded dialogue. This subject was also recently dealt with on the .co.uk site.

Thanks I'll do that. In fact I have now managed to trace the power input cct so I'm part way there!

Hi Retron

The position, mounting points and electrical plugs are identical but there are some pin allocation and functional differences between the two types of display. Major difference is the Mk2 accepts serial signals from the Phillips radio.

Stripped both types and decided the lcd displays were too different.
That was a good few years ago so cannot remember any detail.
