Or have all my previous XMs had bad shperes? I ask because it it very floaty, and rather wallowy, more so that my previous 2 XMs, the 2.1 TX exclusive and the TCT VSX, both of which were very similar, and I though nice and soft. If I stitch to 'sports' mode it drives like the others did, which was far better than the previous S1 prestige or S1.5 SEi did

Same here. My rear arm bearings were a bit stiff, so I fitted CX spheres of the rear and comfort spheres on the front, result = amazing ride

Can you see any number on the spheres? If not you could remove them and measure the hole sizes but to do that you'd need a good selection of small drill bits. I found that comfort spheres on a fully working XM made it feel like piloting a boat, large and ponderous. So I sold them to Lez.

I think I have better than a good selection of drill bit!, I currently work in the inspection department of an engineering company (Westinghouse) so have access to any inpection instrument you may wish to use!. If I can't find any numbers what am I looking for? I have drill guages down to 1mm in .1 steps

I always use comfort spheres on my estates and they are fine but I had a hatch for a while last year and it was very soft on the back and quite wallowy, I didn't mind at all but some passengers complained! The softer the better for me

To cover all XM spheres the drill gauges need to go down to 0.6 mm

Can't quiet make out the numbers, will have a look in daylight, however they all seem to be genuine citroen, and the rear ones are still green with no rust on!. The car does have a ton of history and receipts, but for the most part it's in french. Some may know this car as it was rescued from Geneva last year (although is RHD and UK registered). It has been very very well cared for and does show.
