Hi All The car is always settled to its low position overnight, takes a while to rise and for the warning lights to go out, seems fine on a run maybe a little hard on the rear, on stopping the car sinks very quickley (rear first ) would someone mind explaining the normal sequence as they find on their own car
many thanks Brian -------------------- 1991 citroen xm v6 54,000 miles

Hi Brian
I my experience there isn't a normal sequence, they all seem to behave differently. I think in depends largely on the general state of the hydraulic system. If the pump and regulator are good it will rise quite quickly and having clean LHM and filters makes a difference. Rapid sinking can be due to a leaky height control valve although I have just replaced a rear cylinder on one that sunk almost immediately and it now stays up Every time I do something to the hydraulic system its characteristics seem to change. My philosophy is if it drives OK leave it alone, otherwise you could waste a great deal of time and money for little or no improvement. Peter -------------------- Used to have:
