Hi all,

I don't normally bother posting links that are none Citroen but I stumbled across this earlier today. Being a very late Sixties child there's a quite a few I don't know and never heard of.

Hi

There were a few I'd never heard of there but the best mis-fit it there. The Alfa Arna. Italian styling and Japanese reliabilty - the perfect combination. Errrr except it is was 80's Japanese styling and 80's Italian reliability. Terrible!

Cheers

Tony

Thanks for that Steve.........very interesting.

I like the Gordon Keeble, it looks like the car that Bristol were always trying to build but never quite got there.........

I also like the Tickford (stretched limo) taxi........... tongue.gif

Wonder if the GS and an Xm will be an entry in a similar list in a few year's time?
I've always liked the Monteverdi and the Lamborghini Silhouette.

I saw a lovely Jensen Intercepter MkIII in York on Tuesday. The guy driving was on crutches, not sure if it's down to the crippling running costs. Her indoors went into Debenhams and I stayed outside admiring the car and marvelling how many people went past and never gave it a second look.

I bet it turned a few heads when he started it up biggrin.gif

Although I'm not a big fan of the Jensen (14mpg wacko.gif ), I wouldn't walk past one without having a good look.......

Just to pass the time (and as it's pretty dead on here at the moment........

How about a car from the eighties that time forgot.......

......is this where they got their inspiration?

Probably not forgotten, but very exclusive.......and unusual (and one of my favourites)

Finally, a motorcycle that time forget (I know this is a four wheel forum, but, what the hell, there's bugger all else happening on here at the moment.......and I know there are a couple of other bike fans on here).......

I know it was never a commercial success but I've always had a fascination for the Wankel Rotary Engine

The Lagonda is a fanstastic looking car. I really like them. Superb interiors as well.

Wait a minute. I owned/drove Mazda Rotary Engine Cars in the 1970s. The Familia Coupe, the Capella and Luce. This IS nostalgic laugh.gif

Thanks Paul

I didn't know about it. I love it -very near to the perfect shape for my taste-. At first I thought it was a Ferrari 412, then a Ferrari 308GT Dino, but I think it's even more accomplished a design than these two.

cheers
George

ps. I'm quite lucky to like cars that most people find awful biggrin.gif Anything wedgy will do!
