Lesson in how NOT to list an XM on ebay! Ebay minimalism taken to a new level...

I did some digging around to see just what L51 VWP is and it's not due SORN/Tax but may have absolutely no legality and it's anyone's guess if it all works, what mileage it's covered and whether it has/needs an MOT, exhaust, spheres, tyres etc etc so you either take pot luck for £30plus or write asking questions to see if the seller gives a monkey's! Well its an SD, so worth it for the electric seat runners etc etc

Had a response from the owner...
"I took it off the road about 2 years ago to change the diesel pump. I got another pump but could not get it to run poperly. Prior to that it was very good to me and past every M.O.T from new. It was owned by my father in law before I had it. The only reason I am salling it is because I dont have the time to find another pump and fit." I bet also he was changing the pump JUST because it would splutter and smoke on startup... unfortunally, despite the toughness of the Bosch pumps they can and do suffer from this problem :-(
