My sons P100 was recovered by relay with an apparantly siezed engine, something I was not to happy about in veiw of the fact that I had only fitted it about a year ago, when I eventually stripped it down, this is what I found. I wasn't seized at all
 a tooth had broken of the flywheel gear ring and jammed itself in the next space, thus locking it against the starter.I couldn't find another P100/Seirra engine so got one from an escort - front wheel drive of course, have to swap all the ancilliaries, different flywheel, have to use the one from the other engine - but that's damaged. no Peter ive never seen that, i think the chances are quite slim

I have both engines stripped down, I'm going to fit the escort engine as the other one was down on one cylinder. I am in the process of seeing what is the minimum ammount I can change over and still fit it!
