What car, what pump, what type of pump? what year of car..
Im guessing it must be a Xantia type related pump?? I cant think of any on the Ordinary XM pump that uses the older V belt pump... Paul -------------------- 1993 K Reg 3.0 V6 12 Valve Auto (Green) LPG S1.5 SORNd

Presumably this is a LH drive vehicle with a Diravi power steering system. I cannot see you carrying out the work you seem to hope to do. It is a very specialised action, needing information which I have not seen available anywhere.
The pipe seals are readily available, but nothing for the pump internals. I hope I have understood your question properly. -------------------- Xantia 2 litre HDi Saloon X reg 1999

I have looked further into your requirement for O rings for your LHM Pump.
I see that on the LH drive vehicles (which are very rare in the UK as they are the only model with Diravi steering) there are indeed three O rings. These are available for a very reasonable price at £2.39,£1.54 and £ 1.22 inclusive of UK VAT. The prices will vary very little in other parts of the World. My apologies for mis-understanding your original query. -------------------- Xantia 2 litre HDi Saloon X reg 1999

Assuming that you have the later 6+2 hydraulic pump then you may find this correspondence useful (with grateful acknowledgements to FCF). Note that there are 10 seals required for a full pump overhaul.
It is a Word file so save it first to your desktop and then choose 'Open with MS Word' otherwise double clicking on it will probably just give gibberish. Also check out the link to Simon's web pages which have some good pictures. On looking again at the exploded view of the pump,it states that you need 3 off pt. No.402687 and 3 off Pt.No 402688 to seal the external leaks on your pump. This does not agree with my reading of Ken Hall's message, but abides strictly by Citroen's parts list. - though I must accept that I cannot understand the correct method of reading such an unusual file! -------------------- Xantia 2 litre HDi Saloon X reg 1999

Quite straightforward really - the 6 piston power steering part of the pump requires 6 rings and the 2 piston suspension pump requires 2 rings plus 2 more for the 2 end covers - total 10.
Here is another pump overhaul article (with grateful acknowledgements to Planete Citroen) with pictures. Ken Edit Sorry the PDF file is too big to post - if interested do a search on Planete- Citroen for 'Un document qui va vous aider à changer les joints de la Pompe HP ( 6+2 ) de votre voiture préférée'. It has good pictures. This post has been edited by kenhall1202 on March 08, 2009 01:16 pm -------------------- 97R XM 2.1 TD VSX Saloon, RP 7249, Emerald Green
