Ive just noticed your for sales on the FCF and thought id pop on here and post.

Sorry you are having to get a few sold quickly, its never an easy thing. Why is it we get so attatched to these lumps of metal! Im sure your Xantias will sell on the FCF, they seem to go down very well on there.

Its a shame that you might have to go down the breaking route, i really hope it doesnt come to that. Although then again there is the old 'it will save another car' debate.

I had not realised you had a variety of more basic Xantias actually, they make an excellent car. I just hope enough people take them off your hands, a good solid car deserves a good solid home!

Your Xm looks nice, im sure you will sell that fine. Unless ive over read it, you should maybe mention about them being in dry storage for the time they have been on SORN, since you keep them in your barn?

Good luck with it Andrew, i hope it all works out for you.

Chris.

Well, to be honest Chris, these are all going to have to go one way or another and as far
as offers through these forums to take on any of them go, the silence is deafening.

I'll try and hold on to this particular XM in preference to the Xantias, though this will prove
difficult as I need to take action to spare a CX GTi Turbo2 and x2 Activas already. The whole
car issue is an extra hassle beyond my main worries but it's all stewing horribly with the
cruellest of timing. sad.gif

I would have thought a the FCF adverts would have gained some interest. If i had the space i wouldnt mind taking one off you for a project, although space is tight here for the moment.

I dont know what to suggest sad.gif, you could try advertising on some less obvious places. Like carandclassic maybe, possibly more of a place for enthusiasts rather than salvage/breakers.

Something drastic, an open day for forum users! People could go along and see what they wanted, maybe get some kind of auction going! Yes so thats probably not a very good or helpful idea dry.gif

I dont think you are in the CCC are you, you could have made an add in the mutual aid with a few details and a number for people to contact you. Can you get on the CCC forum and post a for sale, maybe email an editor to see if they would list a basic for sale with your details - they possibly would if it means saving a few cars and helping CCC members out with parts/cars. Im sure there must be people around who would want one of your cars.

Chris.

Right, as far as finances go, as I realise we're all under a vice like squeeze for every penny
we have, the cars listed NEED TO BE MOVED ON FIRST - payment whilst nice, is a secondary
requirement that can be made over time - I'd like to believe I can trust fellow nutter Citroenists!!

Sure I can't tempt anyone? I feel I'm giving this Turbo Xm away for the posted figure and it is
purely priced to sell to an enthusiast home preferably as a going concern - why scrap a straight
car that HAS been dry stored for over a year or two (it's all a blur!!).

You dont happen to have any 2.1SED TD's you might like to move on.. I DO fancy a TD to be honest... Or even an SD... I can make it an SED :-)
