It looks like the seller knows his stuff, possibly been about on here, and this has to be going for some good money, im thinking £700 easy, what do you think? seems like a nice car and if the discription is accurate only a few niggles to sort out plus the usual recomissioning woes that rear up when the car has to do some work for the first time in ages........Im just glad its white, makes the temptation berable laugh.gif

That reminds me of a chat I had the other day with a fellab I bought an ebayed 2.0 TCT engine off.
He'd removed the engine from an Xm he'd bought as spares or repair and broken up as it had a
leaky steering rack.

He eventually decided to bin the 2.0i engine in preference to a v6 unit he fitted into the rear of a
205 GTi; I was quite peturbed to hear it had come out of a MANUAL Xm!! I was too shocked to
ask if the Xm had been a saloon or an estate!!! sad.gif blink.gif

There can't be many manuals out there now. Reminds me too of a reliable guy I know who
missed a 24v'er Xm that got crushed the day before he went to chase up buying it!!!!! mad.gif wacko.gif sad.gif blink.gif
It had been simply weighed in as scrap!

Rare car indeed, worth having. Production date is just 1 month after mine... And mileage is as on mine when I bought it 4.5 years ago!

The 40mpg at 65mph is unrealistic based on my (manual) car -it will do this on a downhill-. Mine is doing 23mpg on a mixed use. At trips to the Highlands were u can go all day in 5th but not much faster than 50-60mph, I get around 30mpg. This said I suspect my car could have a slow L-sensor that'd increase consumption.

I wonder, there are these white non-24v S1-S1.5s that are all-white poping up here and then, is this the owners that painted all in white or could you get it as such only in this color??

cheers

Can't imagine why either Geirge but you're right about a current spate of colour coordination.
Heaven knows who or why it's been done but the colour isn't the best one to repeat over and
over is it really?

I've got a K plated v6 auto that's fully colour coded in RAF grey blue to the point where its
almost identical to my 24v with only a number different in the registration! There's no sense
to it.
