Chilling out literally walking my two boxer dogs as I type this in the wilds of nowhere
and another dog walker has just asked me "are you the person who likes old Citroens?" cool.gif laugh.gif unsure.gif

Um, yes I guess, why do you ask? biggrin.gif

The daughter has a big comfy silver one like I have that needs to go and its just gone off
the road onto spare land probably to rot forever! She remembers my waving at her the other
week!!!! Oops, that was me thinking it was my father!! laugh.gif

Anyhow, its an automatic, too big for her to park; do I want it!? blink.gif rolleyes.gif

You wouldn't believe this kinda thing happens to me all the time.
I was just quietly walking the dogs...

watch this space! smile.gif ph34r.gif

It's just awesome!

Last week one of my customers called me and wondered if i'd care for taking over his old XM Wagon for free. -Naa, I replied, I've already got some sparepart-cars standing outside the shop. Have to clean up first.

The very same evening I told my wife about it. She almost exploded: -But it's a XM wagon! It's the best car in the world, I would love to have it!
-But as I remembered it it was kinda scrappy...
But I know she badly miss the XM 2.1 TD 12 Wagon she had before.

Then I remembered this car actually was a -97 Turbo CT wagon with sunroof, beige leather interior and a working aircon. I called the guy again. Yes, the exhaust was about a year old and he had me to change the rear hydraulic pipes about a year and a half ago. But the rear spheres are dead. The MOT is good to this autumn. It's got a working sunroof. The aircon works fine. There's four quite decent michelin tyres on and some really good but cheap winter tyres in the trunk. All on alloywheels. The MOT is good through august. And I think that...
-I take it!

Now it's parked outside the shop. I regassed some spheres and fixed the stiff gearchange. And some other small matters. After a wash (that's not been done the last six years, the former owner called the car "the pig-car") this red metallic XM looks really nice.
My wife is happy of course and it feels better having her driving around in a big car instead of the ZX she's driving now.
And drives like a dream... I almost want it for myself. dry.gif

Greetings from Sweden!
