One of my sons had a bit of a mishap with his Suzuki Swift last week (uninjured) so I've given him my identical one, which has really been the cheapest most reliable car I've ever had.
So for a daily run about for work I've bought this little beauty . Turns out it's much better than the seller described and in remarkably good nick and with full service history from new. I've had a zx before and they're a great little car. Dull maybe but for knocking around Oxford everyday just the job. ![]() -------------------- '96 XM Exclusive 2.0 Auto. RP 7080

Looks like that Swifts been hugging lamp posts............... at speed
100% Citroen wont get you any records round here, most are 100% XM Being serious though, looks like a bargain for what you won it for, if it only lasts 6months it would be worth it, but no doubt with that 1.9d engine and 120k on the clock it should be a bombproof runaround for a few years, Have you picked it up yet then? Looks a good buy, i would hazard a guess at it being stronger than a swift too!
Ive always liked the Zx models, good little cars, still a lot around too, which must say something for their reliability. You rarely see a scruffy one and never a rusty one. Thats quite a bad accident, thank goodness he didnt have anyone in the car with him! Chris. -------------------- 1995 'N' XM 2.1TD VSX Manual Estate, magenta red - 62K miles

Picked it up today. I wasn't expecting anything special but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Even had a tank of diesel! -------------------- '96 XM Exclusive 2.0 Auto. RP 7080

Shane you're right. No turbo and yes sedate describes it well but as I'll be using it almost entirely in speed restricted areas that really isn't an issue. Although it's not as sluggish as you might imagine. 0-60 in a week or so

You know, we have a N/A CX2200 deisel safari wagon ........ And I reckon it's brilliant !!! Sure it would be better with a GTi Turbo motor/gbox bolted into it's gut... But it's still good to drive as is seeya, Shane L. -------------------- Location ... Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

I wasn't going to mention this, but as we're on the subject of ZX's..........
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2240497.ece I think he was a bit rash spending as much as £300........I'm sure he could have got an XM cheaper -------------------- 94M 2.0 Turbo Exclusive auto hatch, Green, RP 6552
