XM front mats: £36.99 + £7.99 postage!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220365508902 I had a tickle on these with a limit of £20 and even that I thought was a bit strong given the Xantia set I'd purchased earlier was just £9.99. £45? You could buy an XM for £45 For those of you interested, the Xantia mats are still available: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220363025381 They fit the car perfectly, are made from high-quality rubber with the embossed chevrons and are pretty much indistinguishable from their XM equivalents. If I buy one with front mats the first thing I do is throw them away - ther'e a pain, the carpet wasn't worn out on the nearly 300,000 miler I had.

I always put mats in my cars if they dont come with them, i also always fit mudflaps to every car i have too. Its not the fact the carpet wears (which it does, im just thinking of how many mats ive replaced due to holes in them) but just to keep the car looking tidy and cared for.
Cheap mats are a pain, as they slide under the pedals, although ones with a rubbery, grippy back are good. Most cars now have little tabs for the mats to click into to stop them sliding around. I do prefer carpet mats though, rubber can get annoyingly squeaky and dirty when wet. My option is to have a set of carpet mats for the summer and rubber for the winter This post has been edited by Citroenmad on February 28, 2009 12:37 am -------------------- 1995 'N' XM 2.1TD VSX Manual Estate, magenta red - 62K miles

These mats don't look genuine to me. By genuine I understand there is a Citroen logo somewhere . . . -------------------- 2000 XM 3.0 V6 24v Exclusive Auto 70k km (LHD; ORGA 8569)

FWIW I'm no fan of carpet mats - as Peter suggested you may as well just stick with the carpet itself. I do agree that it helps make the car look neat and looked after, but rubber mats are better in that they're cheaper to buy, are significantly easier to maintain and never slip about under your feet.
