Please, it IS the site. Any other site using this forum software I have accessed correctly displays the picture when clicked in Firefox.

Now, just went outside to check the thermometer here in Sydney, and it is a very humid 35º C or 95F out there. We have had these sort of temps most of this week and apparently a 20º cool change is forecast for tomorrow afternoon and some rain on Monday and Tuesday.

Hi Mouseflakes

Is it a trick of the camera or is your ride light metallic blue ? Never seen one that colour before. I thought by law they were all white, black, silver, green, green, green, green, green, green or, if you were very good, red.

Very hit and miss this snow. Top side of Brum, tiny sprinkling left on the garden. Bottom side of town, 2 - 3 inches still on the towpath.

Mike.

One of the reasons I don't like Firefox. It doesn't work out of the box until you've messed and tweaked it for a day or two. mad.gif

Just in case anyone wants to take this further and get it fixed...

It is the site. Taking one of the pictures early on in this thread, the URL is http://club-xm.com/forum/index.php?act=At...e=post&id=35491 and the MIME type is text/html. Firefox (or any other browser) has no way of understanding what that is, so it displays it as HTML (which as there are no tags renders as text).

However, IE tries to be clever and looks at what is in the data and decides that it seems to be a valid JPG so displays it as so. That is IE ignoring what it is explicitly told and doing it's own thing which happens to be to our advantage in this instance. Please believe me as a web developer when I say that most of the times IE does it's own thing is not a benefit and results in many days of extra effort to do the most simple of things in a browser compatible way. IE is not being superior, just lucky this time.

The problem is that the site should be giving a correct type for the content, or failing that then giving a URL with a jpg extension would do the trick, but as it is dynamic data from a database using PHP that would not be possible.

Mike.

I always thought Xms only came in maroon and blue/grey! They were very common colours for the S1.

The light blue is the best S1 colour, it looks fantastic cool.gif

No snow here today, we had a helping yesterday, which cleared after a few hours. Slush and sleet today dry.gif
