I do like the look of the wheels but I'm really not a alloy wheel and low profile tyre fan. Still I did like the ones on my 405 (standard pug) and those on the C5 (standard fit).
You'll not be offering to buy them then.... Steve. -------------------- XM 2.1 SED - RP5876

I like those wheels on it too, though as you say the only concern is the low profile tyres, I'd be interested to know if they affect the ride and suspension dynamics at all.

I'll know better when I've fixed the suspension and swapped the wheels but I'm convinced they do. At the end of the day they are the first point of contact with the road so must surely react to the lumps and bumps before the suspension even becomes aware of it. I'm sure too that they are the reason for the strange occasional torque steering type effect on some surfaces. There's nothing to lead me to believe they have the correct offset for the application either. Ebay here they come...

I quite like the alloys as far as the 'impact' they make on the car. So what are they worth
to you if they're up for sale Steve!? I've always felt Citroen alloys are never really dynamic enough and are deliberately understated to the point that they actually look like wheeltrims - cheap one's at that! As something to think about looking for, these are genuine Citroen 15" aftermarket one's on a similar appearance car: ![]() ![]() Andrew |

My S2 is on those TSW Stealths. Some days I say they're getting binned for wobbly webs, others I like them... hard to know really...
Those Citroen ones are very nice Andrew, never seen another set, they look a little like ones I saw on a Peugeot 306 the other day. Ciarán -------------------- '95 XM 2.1TD VSX Hatch: RP 6429. Rare green ;-)

Yes I do like those Citroen wheels, just about suit my mentality wheel wise, look nice, easy to clean with a decent amount of sidewall on the tyres. As for price I guess it depends on what it costs to replace them.

I've found out the wheels are Pegasus Volvo rims. I don't know if you get fakes but hell they're expensive to buy - I've found them at 160 euros! I think when I ebay them I'll be sure to put Volvo in the title!

It looks very, very tidy Steve i like it, and of course its black
I think the rims look superb on there, very square chunky spokes seem to go well with the XM's pointy straight lines. What you describe as torque steer is more than likely the way the harder low profile tyre rides over uneven surfaces. With no give in the carcase it will ride on a ridge and tug at the wheel a bit rather than let the tyre mould over it. Down to personal taste i guess though isnt it.
