Is that what you'd call a Frankenstein mirror?

Steve.

Surely it would have been easier to change the passenger side mirror than to fabricate that blanking panel!

Good pictures Andrew, you've caught all the relevant points. I'm amazed at the detective abilities of some of our forum members, you can't put anything over them!

Previous owner obviously had difficulty in judging the car's width - tell me about it! sad.gif

Should still be worth a punt for someone near enough, 112k is nothing for that engine and gearbox. And it has to be better for town traffic than a manual.

Worth a £1 I reckon! laugh.gif

So, sold and scrapped by an engine snatcher for their nasty little Pug shopping trolley
deathtrap in a fortnight's time then?

Dear God, I'm stuck in a perpetual loop reading the same arguments over and over again! wacko.gif

I'll repeat what I said yesterday:

QUOTE (Andmcit @ Feb 25 2009, 23:06 PM)
I just can't see why everyone get's so bogged down by trim levels and badges. Sure, the desired
mechanical spec will dictate the trim probably if you must have an auto with air con etc but
surely the engine and fundamentally the body colour are what decides whether you want to
part with your hard earned or not. Not whether it has a fancy radio, front spot lights, electric
armrest  rolleyes.gif , alloy wheels or even leather dry.gif . Apart from a fundamental difference like
the engine or box, these things can all be retrofitted if you really really must have that particular
gegaw to play with.

Not even sure if electric climate or AC are entirely necessary unless regular visits to the South
of France are required either!

Andrew

Admit it - how often you actually adjust the blasted seat/adjustable armrest etc etc!!!!!!?

These tired 'arguments' don't make sense!! blink.gif Is it REALLY worth scrapping an inherently
usable sound car because it has/hasn't got bloody horrible leather seats FFS!!!!!!!???
Seems to be the answer with that smashed glass 2.1 estate of Gareth's mentioned elsewhere.
I think I'm going to have to take time out from club-xm as it's starting to bug me like the CX
equivalent has...

'TAX about to expire'

I don't understand these sellers who put cars on ebay just days before the tax runs out - the auction ends after the tax has expired - why didn't they list it a week earlier so the winning bidder could add it to their current insurance policy for a day and drive it away legally for appraisal at home?

Now the winning bidder will have to purchase a new insurance policy just to put tax on it to drive it away. I would have bid on this, but I can't afford another policy now so it's a no-go. Daft on the seller's part too - because of this they'll have fewer bidders pushing the price up.

Shame.
