Hi,
my XM has had a really hard time recently, and finally, was involved in an accident yesterday hitting a car coming the opposite way around a narrow hairpin bend (large overhang beyond the front wheels!) Strangely, the other guy was almost unscratched, but it broke my radiator grille, the front bumper at the offside front corner and smashed both the headlamp and the sidelight cluster Thankfully, Craigdp has all the main bits in the right colour, but before proceeding, I just need to check out a rather strange fault: Since the accident, the driver's side of the two interior lights above the gearchange (just the one side) stays on when the ignition is on. I wonder if this is just a warning that one or both of the offside headlamp/sidelight are broken or whether this is a sign of other damage elsewhere? There is a fairly minor score at the top of the offside wing just to the rear of the sidelight cluster and the impact was enough to dislodge the bumper from the right hand side of the car, so I wonder if the impact has bent something internally so it thinks the driver's door is not closed properly. Maybe a fuse gone due to a short in the headlamp/sidelight cluster? Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
