Hey I think that's my Car now
If this is the same one, couple of updates since I got her. Just had her across to Pelaides last weekend after the suspension went bad. Turns out it was just due for it's spheres to be done. Martin renewed seven of them and the rides now better than ever. Other minor touches one of the bulbs was dead in the right dot matrix, it really was annoying me right there all the time so I got into the dash and fixed that one myself. The front speakers had rotted away so I got those replaced with some good replacements and radio is sounding pretty awesome (just got the sticky volume buttons working consistently with a dab of WD40). Some things I'm thinking about getting done. The Cruise Control actually turns out that it works intermittently which makes me think it's an electrical fault which might be easily fixed. I read about a Solenoid Switch under the wheel arch? Also not that we've needed it but I really would like to get the Air Con fixed. Had a guy to look at it, turns out the Condensor or Compressor (I think, the thing at the front by the Radiator) has rotted and needs replacing. Fairly big expensive job involving getting the whole front off but still tempted. What was good was the guy had his sources and was fine with keeping it running on the old Freon Gas. Once it's been down to the car wash I'll drop a picture of it in it's new neighbourhood of West London. There's an enthusiast locally I keep seeing with an SM and a CX keeping it company. No need to take the front off, just the nose cone, which IIRC is held on with 4 10mm bolts, two on top and two hiden behind the side lights. I even have a good condensor that came off an S1.5 SEI (correct name, calling it an AC radiator really irritates me!)
