Any use? It certainly looks 'spangly' enough in the picture to be new:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Citroen-XM-II-Front-...emZ230317664166 I know on the s1 indicator/fog light there was a base model version with indicator only as well as the more common fog light so this may apply to s2's too - xmexclusive will know!! Is his comment about being able to cannibalise the unit to suit a fog light fitment a valid option!? Andrew |

Andrew,
Series one and S2 units are VERY different.... The S2 unit is bigger, the height of the lamps are higher.. and a single glass covering. The S1 units are two seperate units.... That unit looks a bit strange, the glass has markings on it... all S2 units Ive seen have got clear lenes on them... Mr Xmexeclusive will know better, his knoledge of S2 lamps is much greater then mine... Ive had a look in my stocks, and ONLY got S1 units... Yep, Paul, I realise the differences between s1 and s2 - somebody has managed to be
creative with the 2.5 VSX I've bought and managed to fit s2 ones on my s2 that has a s1 bumper! Confused!!!??? The ebay one does kind of look the right shape and has the 3 legged tabs off the sides but doesn't have the two different parts for the fog/indicator. Andrew |

Hi Barry
As I recall new dipsticks are fairly cheap from Citroen. I have collected a few spares for my own use but with a new one you can be certain the markings are correct and matched to your engine type. John -------------------- An interest in 2.5TD's.

Hi boyatheart,
I'm not sure if you have realised yet but this forum was offline for nearly a year with some technical issues. Therefore, when it came back on line, a lot of the threads were nearly a year old. Since the bulk of the threads are about repairs to current problems those posts would therefore have become out of date since it is likely no-one would have waited a year to fix their problem. Wanted and for sale ads fit into this category even more so than ordinary posts. I appreciate its a pain and not immediately obvious but you are answering wanted ads placed in January 2009 ! I think it will be unlikely that the person posting the want ad is still on the look out for the part some 18months later. I could be wrong of course. I suppose I could delete all the ads to keep them current but up until recently that has not been necessary. I problably need to review the functionality of the wanted and offered sections to avoid this in the future. I just wanted to make you aware of that when answering a wanted ad and then wondering why no-one got in touch. cheers noz -------------------- '10 '59' C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Tourer Metallic Grey
