Hi, just wondered if there is anyway to repair the left hand display on a S2 Xm.
One of my spares and the one in the car only give partial readings. I did try packing the screen to make it fit tighter (usually works on CXs) but with little improvement. Cheers. -------------------- White 2.5TD VSX estate, leather

Hi,
There used to be a repair kit for sale, can't remember if it was on Ebay France. You could try asking in the XM-L forum. Steve. -------------------- XM 2.1 SED - RP5876

Doublechevron AKA Shane, has recently posted a very thorough description with piccies where he
brought the displays on his big BX to life with quite an info filled discussion in the following thread. Well worth a search out! The comedian of a previous owner has had the fuses set on the silver W reg to display bonnet open etc in French which I quite like!! Certainly one thing I'll leave as it is; after all, it suits the car! Worth getting the displays fixed just for that novelty... Andrew |

I believe I have just fixed a Mk1 display. The problem was it was supplied as faulty, and now works, but as I did not know the pin-out I could only power it up after dismantling it so do not actually know for sure it was faulty. It hasn't been re-installed either, but on power up all the pixels illuminate (which certainly does not happen on the one in my Mk2). So I'm about to try the same tricks on a Mk2 unit for my car. It would help if anyone could tell me the power pins of the Mk2 unit so I can test the unit before dismantling/treating. (I don't have any knowledge of its status and I don't fancy taking my dashboard apart until I have everything available to get it back together!)
