Hi Lez - very sorry state of affairs; I'm pissed off for you and your enforced predicament.
Too many ars***les with their underwear too tight in positions of power these days... Is the car a manual or an auto as there's a bit of an unhappy man in Australia at the moment with a 2.1 slippy clutch band auto that may need you to pack a crate for him!? I like those Volvo rims, did you need spacers are do they fit straight on the car without any additional conversion? All the best, Andrew |

those are 1999/2001 xc70 alloys, more or less perfect fit, depends on the tyres fitted, not all tires of the same quoted width are not the same actual width etc The fronts may bind on full lock, answer, dont use full lock..... as to the rears, they will bind in the wheel arch as the suspension falls overnight, so you do need to raise the suspension to move it. they will also bind on the rear on the plastic muck guard, but a bit of trimming away of it in the areas where it catches will fix it. also in the rear is a seam where 2 panels meet, but like the external seam on the old original austin rover mini, same answer, flatten it with a bfh....... of course as i said it depends on the tires, i'm on pirlli scorpions and they are a bit wide and bouncy, but ride well. this is for 16/215 tires, 205 should be easier, some website i saw was selling 18 inch by 225, that i cant see fitting... -------------------- |
