Testing The Water, Series 2 V6 24v Exclusive

I am going to have to sell a couple of cars over the coming months and one of the first to go is going to have to be my Series 2 V6 Exclusive.

It's a 1998 R Registration
Number Plate: R3 OXM
MOT: Around 9 months remaining
Tax: Around 3 months remaining and is included.

It has covered 148k miles.

The car is the maroon colour with the full black leather interior. It has all of the usual Exclusive extra's including:

Electric Front Centre Arm Rest
Digital Climate Control
Cruise Control
Heated Front Seats (Don't know if they work, i hate them!)
6 CD Changer Under Passengers Seat

The air conditioning on the car is cool but could probably do with topping up, I will try and get this done before sale but I can't make any promises.

The engine and gearbox on the car are superbly smooth, Paul (CitroenXM) will back me up on this as I took him out in it on Tuesday. The auto adaptive gearbox is a joy to drive and changes into top gear at around 38mph.

The rubber on the strut tops has perrished but the metal underneath them still looks solid.

I bought the car in May from a Citroen Car Club and Yahoo XM-L member. Since I have owned the car it has had the following:

4 wheels balanced
4 corner spheres and accumulator sphere
Genuine Citroen Exhaust Centre Section costing £470.
Oil and Filter change using Total Oil and Genuine Citroen/Peugeot Filter
A New MOT

The car also has a fully sequential LPG kit fitted to the car. The car does run on this kit however there is a slight misfire. This is something I have never looked into but am going to try and have fixed for when the car sells.

The V6 when driven on the motorway at around 70mph will do an average of 30mpg.

When i got the car it needed a new rear drivers side door as the one on the car was dented and the window broken. I have since fitted a door to it. Unfortunately however the door is from a Series 1 Maroon car which means it isn't quite the right colour.

The bodywork on the car is not pristine, it looks like it has been in a carpark with a couple of dings here and there, the paint is also missing from the corner of the bumpers, and some little scrote has keyed the front drivers side wing.

The car is however very presentable and drives very well.

There are two faults with the car that I know of at the moment. The radiator has a leak and is currently draining the coolant reservoir in around 1 week. This is also something I am going to try and have fixed before I sell the car, and the Auxilliary drive belt squeals when the car is started. Once the car has warmed up it is as quiet as a mouse all day.

This is one of the comfiest and quietest cars I have driven and I will be sorry to see it go.
