Hmm that looks quite tidy. Might be worth a phone call ...

Looks tidy and my second favorite colour for an Xm too.

Looks like someone got a bargain if not rusted underneath which seems unlikely given its general appearance. Any one on here?

Robert.

Hi All

With 2.5's you have to be quick.

No, not me that is not the one I agreed to buy today.

I can see the attraction of the 2.5's now John!!
When you've finished 'playing' with some of yours do you do swapsies with the duplicates!?

Hi Andrew

My intention is not to preserve XM's but to drive good condition 2.5's as working cars. My current aim is have available 15 years worth of XM's averaging 20/25k miles a year. Cannot realistically expect to do that from a single car and anyway the incident risk either self inflicted or some other fools mistake is too high and the car would be a beat up wreck for nearly half that time. Most 2.5's particularly estates are already high mileage, virtually none are the spec I want so there is a fair bit to be done to get where I want. Still at least I am not distracted from the task in hand by other models of Citroen or other types of car. The bias is towards Estates with just a few cars. Two occasionally three available for road use at any time with summer/winter rotation. The highest mileage/poorest spec cars to get the salt season half of the year. I think the spares situation will get very difficult and even if available very expensive. Self supply of secondhand stuff will probably be the the only option and now is a very good time to start stocking up. The current flush of components from old stock clearance will soon be over and the supply of relatively good Mk2's will thin to virtually nothing over the next couple of years. So I will soon have the 8 XM's I want to work with and then the worst one will become spares every couple of years or so.

John
