and it's done 146k and it's sold as spares or repair, so no comeback whatsoever should there be a HG issue.

Rang Peter about it before the listing was an hour old. Perhaps he has gone to North Devon to have a look in the dark.

Looks too good to be spares, it only appears to need quite minor things.

Looks in ok condition, the interior looks a bit tatty and is that a cobweb!

Doesnt look like it would take much to get the body good again, front wings look a little kinked as does the loer front and rear bumpers. All things which could be done over time, or not done at all.

Its nice, a great colour for the estate too.

Was kind of asking for you to buy it Peter!

So, another one for the set! With John going for every 2.5 we're all collectively "Xm rescue"!!
Can't we find a big central cheap rent storage area to keep all these in suspended animation
until they need to stand in to the fore for daily use!? Perhaps all those MFi's and Woolwoths
warehouses could be handy now... dry.gif mellow.gif

We've been over this before I'm sure, AFAIK the '?BL' registered cars are Citroen UK cars
registered in Slough/Reading for their staff/roadtesters and general registration BEFORE
being delivered through the dealer network. I own one too BUT it's not an Xm but a metal
bumpered s1 GTi Turbo1 CX which is this EXACT car tested in MOTORSPORT of April 1985:

Congrats Peter,

Of course Sod's Law says a minter SILVER 2.1 MANUAL estate "sleeper" with 50k on the clock will shortly turn up in Lands End. Would not be surprised though if you found room for that as well! All the best with it.

There were quite a number of N---YBL cars registered but only 61 manual 2.1 estates of which probably only 30 or 40 survive, so I now have about 10% of them. biggrin.gif

I'm still in the market for a silver one, I don't care about the mileage as much as the condition. I had considered spraying this one but I havn't had a good look at the body yet. Its not as nice in the flesh as it looks in the photo's - but its not bad.

Well done biggrin.gif

So you dont like the colour then?

What do you intend to do with the white estate Peter? Will it be replacing one of your estates or just running along side? Deary me, 4 2.1TD manuals - thats quite a collection!

I saw a very rusted 2.1 estate with the YBL reg in a Citroen specialists a few months ago, it was dark blue, looked in very bad condition, both rear arches had holes in, with minor front damage, obviously been stood a little time. So i doubt that will be going again. WHM also has a dark blue N... YBL car too, it has exclusive wheels and leather! Im sure its a 2.1, definitely a manual. Its got a engine problem i think, the seats are going to be used in another estate, so dont know what will happen to that. Shame really as its a very solid car. So thats another two off your list!

On the topic of Citroen registrations, does anyone know is CMO reg cars are actually a Citroen thing too? Ive heard a lot of times they are, a lot of press cars wore the CMO plates and my XM was a Citroen car from new too, also having the CMO reg, always seems to be 96 cars.

I do quite like the white one, except that it shows the mud. I have to drive along about half a mile of farm track to get to the road which tends to make cleaning them pointless in the winter, my wifes ZX is silver and hardly shows the mud at all - and I like the colour.

I am undecided exactly what to do with it at the moment, its taxed and MOT'd until the end of the year, and as my green one has two engines in the back which I can't remove until my son comes back, I'm using it. I think I will take it to my local friendly garage and get him to have a good look underneath and on the basis of his report decide whether to do it up or scrap it, but I dont know if I will be able to bring myself to do that sad.gif huh.gif ohmy.gif
