Just Purchased 2.0 Turbo Exclusive!

I was thinking of coming up if I buy it as I also have to collect a ford 1.8 diesel engine from Derbyshire for my sons truck, if I can get them both in, but at about £50+ for diesel and another £50 for a travel lodge (I would have done it in a day at one time) I am debating if its viable. I will see if anyone else bids - its got to be worth 99P!

Hopefully you will get a cheap spare engine there, you also have the pleasure of driving up to Newcastle!

Somebody had the nerve to bid against me, I had to pay £6.50 for it! Hope to pick it up Wednesday of next week.

I'm impressed - that's an impressive bit of ebaying. I've on;y ever seen that bettered when a
complete and running Xm went for the £1 starting bid so negative equity on that one when ebay
took their pound of flesh...

Mind, you're probably doing him a favor as he's probably henpecked to near death by his
missus over 'the bloody great big oily thing in the washoose that's in the way which the bairns
keep getting clarted up on...'

BTW, That's a very nice thing for you to say Peter, but it's Chris (Citroenmad) who's Newcastle way!
Not sure where the confusion crept in here but my life is usually a back to back catalog of surreal
moments so I'll put my hand up and admit that YES, it was likely I that confused everyone!

I'm stuck here in South Wales ranting on about the Welsh LANGUAGE (see other recent post!!)
when I'd love to be back in my homeland (Geordieland)!

Sorry for the confusion - its the age. I would have prefered it for 99p! The cost of the engine is negligable really - its the cost of getting it. I tried to convince myself I didn't need it but they are getting very scarce now and I would probably have kicked myself in a few months time if I hadn't. I just hope I can get the Ford diesel in as well!

£6.50! Thats still a bargain, nice find.

A whole Xm for £1, i once saw a running Bx go through an auction for £5 and thought that was cheap!

A bit of careful packing and you should get two engines in there with the seats folded, it will be quite weighty though, best add a little more PSi in the tyres and ruin your ride a little

Regarding folding seats: the Xm has a design fault (i know, amazing!) Its 60/40 split seat is rendered useless, as the seatbelt buckle for the middle lap belt is attached to the base of the other 40% of the seat. Something i found out on Saturday when buying a (fake) Christmas tree with 4 of us in the Xm. Meaning only three of us had seatbelts on

I hope your back is up to the lifting! Im sure it will take a fair few people to lift the 2.1 engine if they dont have an engine lift ...

I am sure we will manage somehow - sack truck and scaffold boards - done it before. I think moving it about to leave enough room for the other engine is going to be the problem.
