Just been glancing at that on the bay before you posted.

Looks in good nick really, not sure on the wheels, they make it look more like a s1.

Were they available on the s2? I can only think of one set of alloys which are S2 only, the exclusive wheels. I like the 5 spoke ones, are they known as cobweb wheels or something?

Id like a set of those.

Hi All

The first batch of 1995 model year Exclusive Mk2 XM's were delivered fitted with the 24 valve alloy wheels. The production then changed to the 10 spoke Monte-Carlo wheels for Exclusives. These were all cars. Some VSX Mk2 Estates came ex factory with Etoile Alloys as a paid for extra. There were no Exclusive Mk2 estates ex factory only to order VSX's with extras fitted. These came with the VSX badge left on the tailgate and the owners that noticed usually got the dealers to fit exclusive badges.

Seems cheap.

Are most 2.1 diesels automatics? They do seem to be, im sure if it was a manual it may have a little more money on it.

I want a set of them 24v alloys I've decided, they look great on an S2... making it look like an S1 is no bad thing biggrin.gif

I need rid of the hideous TSW Stealths on my S2, and have a set of the wobbly web ones to pick up from England sometime, debating whether to put them on the S1 and dispense with the S1 24V ones I have...

Decisions, decisions...

And yes a fair whack of 2.1s seem to be autos, though I know of many manuals too, including my own (which used to be an auto laugh.gif), Peters, Colins etc...

Andrew

Andrew - as per xmexec's post, the 24v alloys became a standard SEi alloys after K 1993 model year....

It IS an Exclusive model with electric arm rest which is in the down position...

From no turbo he probably cant feel the boost from the autobox taking it out too much... The NON turbo never came to the UK, I was going to tell him but its not worth it now its nearly finished and dooing quite well for the milage..

They went onto the Series Two cars as well..

John, the starfish alloys must have been an option on early S2 Exclusives, a friend (fourm member too) has a Series 2 Hatch Exclusive on an M plate, with starfish alloys and not 24v/SEi alloys...

Hi

One of the guys I used to cycle with had a non-turbo 1.9 XM. It was a complete dog and no more economical than the 2.1 TD. Not sure how he had it but it was RHD. He didn't keep it long - he was much more interested in my 24V!

Cheers

I was wondering about the turbo thing, a owner not knowing their car has a turbo it not good! What else do they not know about!

Im sure they have it insured as a 2.1Td!

I really like those wobbly web wheels, i want a set! Best wheel for the Xm i think.

Hi Ciarán.

blink.gif huh.gif

I don't quite follow but it may be because I'm tired out. Are you saying you DO want
24v s1 rims or you don't want them. I think I followed the wobbly web and Stealth
bit but not the valver rims.. biggrin.gif tongue.gif wacko.gif

huh.gif £895...

When everything else on ebay seems to be struggling, why did this one
buck the trend then? Can't be the low mileage or the thorough description... laugh.gif

Is this the black XM effect or the valver wheels blinded everyone!? biggrin.gif
So, what's my W plated 76k miles one in silver worth then!!? blink.gif
The world's gone madder still than it was at start of play Wednesday?
