The next trailer is getting a tracker on it.

We've been looking into it and have worked out how to power it permanently already.

But if the police are not prepared to act on information, your tracker would give you no more security.

I'd have though that you could get somewhere suing the police if they refused to act when there was a working tracker giving a location of the stolen item. You could argue that if they had acted you would have had your trailer back - no-one would be able to prove otherwise unless they knew where it was and what state it was in at the time.
