It ain't a pretty sight, but the starting bid's £50, the seller claims the matrix display still works and it's a 1 or 2 owner car - thus proving what Andrew said in another thread laugh.gif

The interior looks in good shape.

That maroon seemed the definitive colour for the S1 years ago.

This could be an ideal first diesel Xm for someone and for the sake of a new front number plate
sidelight and mirror it could look a lot happier! AAAAnnnd he hasn't jetwashed and waxed the
engine bay and as he put's it, it's bone dry so boding well for the mechanicals.

And it's a manual!!! smile.gif

Sounds like he's an Xm nutter too so probably a very straight Xm purchase.

Any bidders for £50 then?

Andrew

I would have thought that this would be as close to an ideal recipient for David's 24v mechanics as one could hope to find. Similar age and spec, same colour(I think) and sound of structure.

ohmy.gif David...........................why not go for it!!

David's s1 24v'er is silver like this one:

Now; this would be the ideal recipient for the 24v mechanicals as it's a near identical
car to look at down to the colour coding and SEi spec and age is 93 (about right though
not a H plater).

Hi,Just thought I'd reply to the above......SED Turbo is my car, not been on here for a good while.....had to replace this one and the only car that can do what the XM does is another XM and because I am a lazy so and so and could not be bothered to fix this one I have purchased a '93 XM 2.1 TD! As I said on the Ebay listing I would consider breaking it but having said that it could be returned to the road, only stopped using the car about 4 weeks ago.

Apologies Andrew et al, but David did tell me a while back that his car was "doom maroon". I also seem to remember that more than one car was spoken of. I must have them mixed up.

Either way this one is eminently saveable and could give someone a lot of good service. If things were different I'd certainly be there with a "punt" even if it's not green !

Rodders.

PS some other interesting stuff coming up in France including a one owner early Goldish coloured car with an all brown interior including plastics ... different, reminiscent of GS/CX days.

One of David's pictures which shows the car that's got sill issues (not sure which car is which
mind!!). I think the confusion stems from David owning a s2 maroon s2 24v too!
